Then, open the “Edit Menu” and press “Select” > “All” and “Noise removal”. In the “Effects Menu” select “Noise Removal” and click the “Get Noise Profile”. Tip 3: Audacity is also another useful application for editing your audio. When you press “Save” again this should automatically fix the audio in the timeline and remove the unwanted background noises. Save the audio, highlight the problem area, analyse the area for clicks and pops and then press “Fix”.
If your audio has crackling or popping sounds that happen when the wind hits the recording device, rather than the rumbling sound of wind, then right click on the audio in the timeline and open it in Soundtrack Pro. Tip 2: For Final Cut Pro users, removing the sound of wind may be easier with the use of Soundtrack Pro. Place this filter over your audio and have a play around with the frequency settings until you are happy with the results.
